Another 12 deaths from covid announced by the MoD. Health To 814 total Update of total number of patients who died with final cause of COVID-19

As part of the annual recording of data by the Health Surveillance Unit, the Ministry of Health has proceeded to update the database it maintains on patient deaths, having recorded and verified all data reported in previous months to the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit.

As part of this audit, it emerges that the total number of patients who died with a terminal cause of COVID-19 up to 17 February 2022 is 814 and not 802,[/B] as stated in yesterday's daily statement.

Specifically, the 12 deaths reported late relate to:

-Female, age 85, who died on 09/01/2021

-Female aged 66 who died on 19/01/2021

-Female aged 85 who died on 11/02/2021

-Female aged 85 who died on 11/02/2021

-Female aged 80 who died on 25/02/2021



-Man aged 82 who died on 26/02/2021

-Man aged 61 who died on 29/03/2021

-Man aged 61 who died on 29/03/2021

-Female aged 69 years who died on 29/04/2021

-Man aged 65 years who died on 13/07/2021

-Man aged 46 years who died on 26/07/2021

-Female aged 91 who passed away on 12/08/2021

-Female aged 81 who passed away on 21/08/2021

-Man aged 95 who passed away on 28/08/2021

Therefore, as of today's daily announcement, new deaths with an underlying cause of death of COVID-19 will be added to the total number of 814. Of these, 507 are for men and 307 for women.

The Ministry of Health updates its databases at regular intervals in order to ensure that epidemiological surveillance data are correctly and comprehensively recorded. For transparency purposes, the Ministry of Health
