The visit of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades' visit to Dubai next week, during which he is expected to hold meetings that will help deepen Cyprus' relations with the United Arab Emirates.
President Anastasiades will be accompanied by a large delegation including, among others, the Ministers of Finance, Defence, Energy, Energy, Transport, Agriculture, the Deputy Ministers of Innovation, Shipping, Tourism, the Deputy Minister to the President and the Deputy Government Spokesperson.

During the UAE's tenure as a Non-Permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council, the President of the Republic is expected to brief the Emirati side on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and the issue of Barossas, on the Confidence Building Measures tabled by our side and its efforts to resume the negotiation process, as well as on the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
On 24 February, a Business Forum will be held in the presence of the President of the Republic, who will be one of the speakers.
At the Cyprus Pavilion in Dubai, in the framework of the EXPO exhibition, President Anastasiades will attend and address the Cyprus National Day event which will take place at the Al Wasl main building. EXPO is the world's largest global exhibition, which started on 1 October 2021 and will end on 31 March 2022.
Cyprus' participation is coordinated by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, in cooperation with the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus).
The Fair, which has as its central theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", aims to establish a global platform for agreements and international partnerships and is expected to attract around 25 million visitors, with participants from 192 countries. Visitors to the Cypriot pavilion are welcomed by a hologram of the goddess Aphrodite, taking them on a journey through the island's history.
The aim of Cyprus' participation in EXPO is to increase the country's visibility and showcase the business and investment opportunities it offers. It is a unique opportunity for Cyprus to showcase the opportunities it presents, as the exhibition takes place in the wider Middle East and Gulf region. It showcases the cultural heritage of our country, highlights Cyprus as a leading tourist destination and a centre for education, science, research and innovation. It also promotes our country as an international business and investment centre. During the exhibition, ministers participate in various events held with specialised events.
