Written statement by the Deputy Government Spokesperson Mrs.Nivi Parishinou on Extraordinary Summit Anastasiades will be represented by Mitsotakis

According to the Presidential Office, the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades had a telephone conversation late this afternoon with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in view of the extraordinary European Council to be held tomorrow in Brussels.

During their communication, the President of the Republic informed Mr. Michel about the European Council meeting in Brussels. The President of the Republic informed Michel that he is in Dubai in view of the International Day of Cyprus at EXPO 2020, where he will be a speaker at an international business forum organized in the framework of Cyprus Day.

The President of the Republic informed the President of the European Council that he will be represented at tomorrow's extraordinary European Council meeting by the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with whom he has already reached an agreement.
