A plane with eight passengers including four teenagers that crashed off North Carolina is being sought by the U.S. Coast Guard.
The Pilatus PC-12 was seen on radar acting strangely and Sunday night its tracks were lost about four miles east of Drum Inlet.
Coast Guard boats, as well as an MH-60 Jayhawk military helicopter, began a search of the area to locate the single-engine aircraft and a C-130 joined the search in the early morning hours.
Although it is considered unlikely that the wreckage of the Pilatus PC-12 will be found a Coast Guard spokesman expressed optimism saying that rescue crews will manage to locate the aircraft.
