Emotion and only emotion the message of the father of Alkis Kabanos, Aristidis on the 40 days since his death, when he was confronted by hooligans who took his life in cold blood in the Harilaou area of Thessaloniki because he answered "Aris" to their question "what team are you"!
In a post on his Facebook account, Aristides Campanos wanted to send a highly charged emotional message through the paraphrased phrases of Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Márquez.
"MY ALKIIn view of the actual 40 days from 1-Feb-2022 that you left this futile world that is tomorrow 12 Mar 2022 I really wanted to send you a message and I hope you will receive it up there in the skies that reflects what is happening in my inner world during these 40 days, but I found no more appropriate expressions than the stolen paraphrases of the great Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Márquez.

I would show people how wrong they are to think that they stop loving when they grow old, without understanding that they grow old when they stop loving.
If I knew that today would be the last time I would see you sleeping, I would hug you tight and pray to the Lord that I could be the guardian of your soul.
If I knew that this would be the last time I would see you walk out the door, I would hug you and give you a kiss and call you again to give you more.[IF I KNEW THAT THIS WOULD BE THE LAST TIME I WOULD HEAR YOUR VOICE, I WOULD RECORD YOUR EVERY WORD SO I COULD HEAR THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
If I knew that these would be the last moments I would see you, I would say 'I love you' and not foolishly assume that you already know," he wrote. Campanos with his online friends trying through their comments to support him.
To recall that the 12 defendants have been remanded in custody, while according to the forensic report even if the blow with the scythe had not hit the femoral artery, 19-year-old Alkis would have died from the other blows. "The body of Alkiviades Kabanos bears multiple injuries to the head and limbs. His death was due to fatal injuries to the lower limbs and craniocerebral injuries," the report concluded.
