[Cyprus Times] Again over 23,000 daily cases in Greece 58 new deaths from coronavirus

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 23,529 , of which 32 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2,812,182 (daily change +0.8%), of which 49.3% are male.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 165 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1,579 are associated with an already known case.

Daily evolution of the pandemic: The daily distribution of confirmed cases is as follows (the line represents the overall, cumulative distribution of cases).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 58, while a total of 26,995 deaths have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 337 (63.5% male). Their median age is 69 years. 90.5% have an underlying disease and/or are 70 years of age or older. Among intubated patients, 212 (62.91%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 125 (37.09%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,401 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 303 (daily change -12.43%). The seven-day average admission is 337 patients.

The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
