Particularly active on Twitter in recent hours is Katerina Stefanidi, as after her disagreement on the nomination of Giannis Antetokounmpo as the top athlete for this year, supporting Miltos Tendoglou, she threw her "snitch"... and for Maria Sakkari who was awarded as the top athlete of the year.

Earlier, she had expressed her opposition to PSAT's decision to award Giannis Antetokounmpo as the top Greek athlete for 2021.

The Rio Olympic gold medallist in pole vaulting said in a post on Twitter on Friday afternoon (Dec 24) that the award was wrongly given to the Bucks superstar, as it was an Olympic year and should have been given to Miltos Tendoglou, who won Olympic gold and gold at the European Indoor Track and Field Championships.

"Is it possible in an Olympic year that the Olympic gold medalist and European gold medalist in indoor track and field (with half a leg) is not the athlete of the year?" The NBA happens every year. The Olympics every 4 (5 in this case). Also John's team got NBA not John. Tendoglou and Duskos took the gold in the Olympics on their own. This is my opinion."
