A call for young people to take their future in their hands and register on the electoral rolls in order to exercise their right to vote in the presidential elections was made by presidential candidate Achilleas Demetriades during the inauguration of his electoral headquarters in Nicosia on Wednesday.
During the inauguration, Demetriades announced, in particular, that on September 16 he will organize a big concert with the popular band "ONIRAMA", dedicated to young people, who will be able to participate free of charge if they register on the electoral rolls to vote for whomever they wish. The concert will be opened by Cypriot Nikos Georgiou.
Until the last day of registration on the electoral rolls, the Achilleas Demetriades electoral staff will offer any support young voters need to register, according to a statement. Demetriades also announced that he is starting a programme of tours with a minibus in which he will tour all over Cyprus, towns and villages, in order to make direct contact with citizens. Demetriades, focused on the antisystemic nature of his candidacy, inviting citizens to make use of his staff premises for daily meetings, with physical presence and online connections, helping to shape the positions of their governance programme.
The inauguration was attended by many people, including many young people, to meet Achilleas Dimitriadis and chat with him in a relaxed environment, with a live radio programme on LOVE FM 100.7. Achilleas Demetriades' election headquarters is located at 44 Kennedy Avenue and Esperidon, Nicosia.
