Tornado swept through Iowa Six dead including two children Four people injured
At least six people-four adults and two children-died last Saturday night when a tornado struck Iowa in the central United States, according to rescue officials.
The tornado also injured at least four other people and caused "severe damage to homes and property," noted Madison County Emergency Management Agency chief Diogenes Ayala.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds declared the county a state of natural disaster. "Our thoughts are with all those affected by the deadly storms that hit our state today," he said in a statement."
In December several fierce tornadoes struck five states in the central US, most notably Kentucky, killing at least 79 people.
