Drunk 26-year-old man attacked a couple on Ledras Street His wife was slightly injured He was handcuffed by police officers who rushed to the scene

Police handcuffed a 26-year-old from Somalia who was drunk on Ledras Street, attacked a couple of Greek Cypriots.

According to the Cyprus[/B] Times, it all started when the 26-year-old was involved in a fight with other foreigners for an as yet unknown reason.

A patrol from the Ledra sub-station rushed to the scene to enforce order, after which the drunk man attacked a pair of Greek Cypriots and slightly injured the woman.

Police officers at the scene arrested the 26-year-old man and the case is expected to be filed in court today.

The woman was slightly injured, sustaining abrasions to her body and face.
