Details of the new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people

The number of laboratory-confirmed cases[/B] of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours is 18,869, of which 70 were detected after checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,742,363 (daily change +1.1%), of which 49.8% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 446 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,489 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths[/B] of COVID-19 patients are 81, with a total of 22,366 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.0% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of intubated patients hospitalized is 688 (58.4% male). Their median age is 66 years. 80.8% have an underlying disease and/or are 70 years of age or older. Among intubated patients, 558 (81.1%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 130 (18.9%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,945 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

Covid-19 new patient admissions to hospitals in the territory are 506 (daily change -8.5%). The seven-day average admission is 526 patients.

The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
