The new cases of the virus in Greece - What the EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people
The new cases of coronavirus today, Friday, February 25, were announced by the EODY.
According to the update, during the last 24 hours in Greece, 63 new deaths have been recorded, while 433 intubated patients are being treated in the country's intensive care units. A total of 15,909 new cases were recorded.
According to the EODY's epidemiological report:
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 15,909, of which 48 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.
The total number of cases is 2.385,304 (daily change +0.7%), of which 49.6% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 299 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,315 are associated with an already known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 63, with a total of 25,668 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 2 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 433 (64.0% male). Their median age is 67 years.
88.2% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
Among intubated patients, 313 (72.29%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 120 (27.Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,249 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 262 (daily change -21.32%).
The average seven-day admission is 332 patients.
The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
