The Ministry of Health announces that today, 18 February 2022:

Announced 5 deaths

They relate to:


  • Female, aged 79, who died on 17 February
  • Female, aged 87, who died on 17 February
  • Male, aged 72, who died on 18 February
  • Female, aged 51 years, who died on 18 February
  • Male, aged 92 years, who died on 18 February

Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 819.

170 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

41 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/13 intubated, ICU: 28)

Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 68.24%



28 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

A total of 110,891 diagnostic tests

A total of 2,304 new cases were identified (total cases 302,661).

Positivity rate in all tests 2.08%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

6.938 molecular tests

334 positive cases

Positivity rate 4.81%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

103

Positivity rate 1.9%

Tracing:

620 molecular tests were performed and 53 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 8.55%)

1.006 rapid antigen detection tests and 84 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 8,35%)

Private initiative:

1.964 molecular tests, 227 positive cases detected (positivity rate 11.56%)

45,051 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 1.171 positive cases (positivity rate 2.6%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 58,902 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 799 799 positive cases were detected.

Sampling sites: 17,814 rapid detection tests identified 455 positive cases (positivity rate 2.55%)

Education

Primary education: 11.563 rapid antigen detection tests, 67 positive cases identified (positivity rate 0.58%)

Secondary Education: 985 rapid detection tests identified 22 positive cases (positivity rate 2.23%)

Test-to-Stay: conducted 5.402 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 55 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.02%)

Special schools: 305 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)

Other

Welfare homes: 20 were performed.401 rapid antigen detection tests, 114 positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.56%)

Closed facilities: 169 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no new cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)

Government agencies: 1.257 rapid antigen detection tests and 2 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.16%)
