Fourth arrest for cases of burglary, theft and illegal possession of property

Police made another arrest yesterday, as part of the investigation into cases of burglary, theft and illegal possession of property. Late last night, a 38-year-old man was arrested under a court warrant and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.


The investigation of the above cases began after information was given to the police that stolen property was likely to be found in a particular premises. On 13 February 2022 members of the Police conducted a search of the premises, where a large number of jewellery, electrical and electronic devices were located and seized. Three persons[/B], aged 45, 27 and 26, were also found in the premises,

In the course of police investigations, testimony was obtained, according to which the three arrested persons were allegedly involved in six cases of burglary, committed in the Limassol district and reported to the police.

From further investigations, testimony was also secured against a 38-year-old Limassol resident,[/B] against whom a court warrant for his arrest was issued. Last night the 38-year-old was spotted by a police patrol on a Limassol street, arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations.
