The Ministry of Health announces that today, 17 February 2022:

4 deaths have been announced
They concern:
o Female, aged 67 years, who died on 16 February
o Male, aged 63 years, who died on 17 February
o Male, aged 89 years, who died on 17 February
o Male, aged 93 years, who died on 17 February
Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 802.
168 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in ICU hospitals
43 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/12 intubated, PICU: 31)
Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 66.08%
29 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:
A total of 99,502 diagnostic tests were performed
2.200 new cases (total cases 300,435).
Positivity rate in all tests 2.21%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
7.389 molecular tests
311 positive cases
Positivity rate 4.21%
Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (Rapid Test):
92,113 rapid antigen detection tests performed
1.889 positive cases
Positivity rate 2.05%

Tracing:
255 molecular tests performed and 22 positive cases identified (positivity rate 8.63%)
928 rapid antigen detection tests performed and 74 positive cases identified (positivity rate 7.97%)
Private initiative:
1.880 molecular tests were performed, 208 positive cases were detected (11.06% positivity rate)
44,060 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1,157 positive cases were detected (2.63% positivity rate)

48,053 rapid antigen detection tests were performed through the Ministry of Health programs. 732 positive cases were detected.

Sampling points: 18,367 rapid detection tests; 516 positive cases detected (positivity rate 2.81%)



Education

Primary education: 20.490 rapid antigen detection tests, 74 positive cases detected (0.36% positivity rate)
Secondary education: 2.196 rapid detection tests detected 12 positive cases (positivity rate 0.55%)
Test-to-Stay: 3 were performed.035 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 34 positive cases were detected (1.12% positivity rate)
Special Schools: 488 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 3 positive cases were detected (0.61% positivity rate)
Other
Welfare homes: 1.049 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 12 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.14%)
Closed facilities: 248 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 2 new cases were detected (positivity rate 0.81%)
Government services: 1.252 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 5 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.40%)
