Around 10 o'clock last night, while members of the Kliros Police Station were patrolling the Paleochori - Nicosia road, they spotted a 36-year-old man in his vehicle in the parking lot of a building.
During a search of the vehicle in question, church candles, censers and various other ecclesiastical and other items were found in a rucksack, for which he did not provide satisfactory explanations for their possession.
The 36-year-old man was arrested for an offence of his own accord and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
The Clear Police Station is continuing its investigations.
