Close to solving another three cases of burglary, committed in the last period of time in Paphos are being investigated by the Paphos CID investigators, following the arrest of a 34-year-old man.

The 34-year-old was arrested last night, under a court warrant which was issued on the basis of scientific evidence, linking him to three cases of burglary and theft.

These are one case of burglary of a goldsmith and two cases of burglary of houses, committed between the months of October and December 2021.

The first case was reported on November 2, by a resident of a village in Paphos district. According to the complainant, between the dates of 29 October and 2 November 2021, unknown persons broke into his house and stole a collection of coins, jewellery and other items.

The second case also concerns a house burglary, which was reported to the Police on 30 November. The complaint was made by a resident of Peyia, according to whom unknown persons broke into his home and stole a number of jewellery items.

The third case concerns a burglary at a jewellery shop, also in Paphos district. The burglary was committed at dawn on 15 December and according to the owners of the shop, the perpetrators stole a number of jewels and jewellery.

The above cases are being investigated by the Paphos CID.
