Theft of copper cables from fenced company premises in Larnaca Two persons arrested

Police made two arrests as part of the investigation into the theft of copper cables from a fenced company premises in Larnaca. They are two 35-year-olds, one of whom was arrested and has been in custody since February 23, 2022, while the second was arrested yesterday to facilitate interrogations.

The case was reported to the police by an employee of the company on February 21, 2022.

The case was reported to the police by an employee of the company on February 21, 2022. According to the complaint, between the dates of February 17 and 21, 2022, unknown persons entered a fenced area of the said company and stole copper cables, approximately 250 meters long.

Police investigations resulted in testimony against the two 35-year-olds, on the basis of which arrest warrants were secured against them.

The first 35-year-old was located and arrested to facilitate investigations on February 23. The following day he was brought before the Larnaca District Court, which issued a six-day detention order against him.

Late yesterday evening, the second 35-year-old[/B] was spotted in Limassol and was arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations. Today, he is expected to be brought before a Court to secure a detention order.
