For another 5 days the Famagusta "provincial court" renewed the detention order for the 4 men who repeatedly carried out thefts in the fenced area of Varosha.
[/URL]As reported in the occupied territories, the 4 face charges of violating military area A, theft and causing damage to property.
The "court" was told by the "police investigator" that thefts of various old furniture and objects as well as electric cables are being investigated.
Other items believed to be from houses in Varosha, such as license plates of E/C cars, were found in the homes and outbuildings of the 4, while several kilos of cables were found in the house of the fourth suspect, Hussein Kara.
The "police" discovered that last August Kara had sold 550 kilos of old copper wires, worth TL 33,000.
So far 28 statements have been taken in the case and the mobile phones of the four have been searched.
