Night burglary of a house and theft - Theft from a vehicle - Illegal possession of property - 26-year-old woman arrested

The arrest of a person aged 26 years was made yesterday by the police, as part of an investigation into a case of overnight residential burglary and theft, theft from a vehicle and unlawful possession of property.

Specifically, yesterday morning, it was reported by an 82-year-old man, that on 3/3/2022 unknown persons broke into[/B] his residence in Paphos and stole a wristwatch worth approximately 60 euros, while, as he said, he located in his residence a mobile phone that is not his own.

Yesterday morning also, a complaint was made to the police that on 3/3/2022, a sum of money of approximately 10 euros was stolen from a vehicle in Paphos.

From examinations conducted by members of the Police, testimony was obtained against a 26-year-old woman,[/B] who was arrested yesterday with a court warrant and detained to facilitate the interrogations.

In the possession of the 26-year-old woman, a mobile phone and other items were found and taken as evidence, among others, for which she did not give satisfactory explanations as to their possession.

The Paphos CID and the Paphos Micro Offences Department are continuing their investigations.
