Thirty patients with coronavirus at Famagusta General Hospital - Pending three more admissions - 25 is the youngest patient - Ms Hatzigianni thanks the Minister of Health and the hospital staff

The Scientific Director of the Larnaca Famagusta Hospitals Amalia Hatzigianni, in statements made during the visit of Health Minister Michael Hadjipandela to Famagusta Hospital said that currently 30 patients with coronavirus are being treated at the Reference Hospital[/B], of which 6 are in the Intensive Care Unit, while three more admissions from Nicosia are expected.


In the Intensive Care Unit there are two intubated patients and 80% of inpatients remain without a history of vaccination. The youngest patient is 25 years old while the oldest is 90 years old, she said.

Dr Hatzigianni in her remarks thanked the Minister of Health "for once again doing us the honour of being with us and encouraging the staff". In addition to his presence here today, she said, his presence is felt daily because he is contacted at least 2-3 times a day to help the hospital run smoothly.

Hatzigianni thanked, finally, especially all her colleagues, medical, nursing, paramedical staff, who offer their services with great zeal, and with their expertise proved that they give the best service they can.
