The forces Israeli security forces killed on Sunday morning a Palestinian who attacked Israeli police officers with a knife in the Old City of Jerusalem, in the eastern part of the city.
The attacker, a 19-year-old Palestinian from occupied East Jerusalem, walked towards two policemen at the gate of the Old City, pulled out a knife and attacked one of them, an Israeli police spokesman said.
Other police officers who were near the scene of the attack responded by shooting at him and neutralized the terrorist.
The two Israeli police officers were lightly wounded, the police noted, one by the knife attack and the other by police fire.
A photo of the incident, released by police, shows a knife on the ground next to a bloodstain.
