The new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and inpatients

The epidemiological indicators have stabilized in the last 24 hours, after the significant increase in the epidemiological load. The new cases announced on Saturday by the Hellenic Health Service are 17,447 , of which 64 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.

The total number of cases is 1,650,088 (daily change +1.1%), of which 49.8% are men. Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 543 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,354 are associated with an already known case.

The number of hospitalised intubated patients is 686 (59.9% males). Their median age is 65 years. 80.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 565 (82.36%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 121 (17.64%) are fully vaccinated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,890 patients have been discharged from ICUs. Admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 551 (daily change -1.61%).

The average seven-day admission is 574 patients.The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).

New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 78, with a total of 21,888 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
