After OELMEK, PDOED also throws out the "test to stay" and the other measures that came into force in schools, which were put to the members of the organisation's council for evaluation.
In fact, as a first measure of reaction, it was reported that a one-hour work stoppage was decided, which was scheduled for Monday, February 7.
Speaking to the Cyprus Times, PDOED President Myria Vassiliou said that the members of the organization evaluated the data and came to the above decision. "This is a first measure," she said.
"In these 15 days we are calling for substantial measures in kindergartens and special schools, solutions to the issue of substitute teachers and the announcement of a timetable for the installation of a ventilation system in classrooms," she stressed.
At the same time, Vassiliou said that PDED hopes that the Ministry of Education will listen to the concerns, the problems that are being created and provide solutions.
She concluded by saying that this decision will be re-evaluated on February 3 depending on what will take place in the next period regarding the management of the pandemic in schools.
