New cases of the virus in Greece - What the EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people

The EODY's announcement:

The EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 18.855 , of which 63 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2.066.696 (daily change +0.9%), of which 49.8% are male.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 381 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2.350 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 109, with a total of 24,210 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 549 (61.0% male). Their median age is 66 years. 84.5% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among the hospitalized intubated patients, 427 (77.78%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 122 (22.22%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,095 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 364 (daily change -10.12%). The seven-day average admission is 467 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
