Police arrested three minors on Saturday, under suspicion of setting fire to a school in Nicosia overnight.
According to police, after midnight, officers received a call about a fire at a school. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze, which damaged a several classrooms.
Upon further investigation, police determined that several windows had also been broken, most likely from stones thrown at them.
The three boys were found nearby, and once they spotted police, the individuals attempted to flee, but were stopped by police.
They were arrested and brought Nicosia district court earlier in the morning, where they were remanded for four days.
