A teenager has been arrested after an 80-year-old visitor to Ayia Napa reported she had been raped, it emerged on Monday.
According to police sources, the woman is a tourist visiting Cyprus, and she reported the incident to police on Thursday.
Since then, a 17-year-old asylum seeker was arrested and was remanded on Sunday for six days.
Police said DNA tests are still pending.
