A taxi drivers protest is underway in Nicosia on Monday morning.
According to police announcement, the protestors started from the GSP stadium and headed towards the Kalispera traffic lights, where they stopped, cutting off the bus lane for a few minutes.
The taxi drivers are headed towards the Presidential Palace through Athalassa Avenue. From there they will follow a route from Demosthenes Severis to Griva Digeni streets and from the Metohi intersection they will head towards the Ministry of Transport building.
Police will accompany the protesting drivers and officers will are stationed at main intersections with the aim of easing traffic.
