Two bakery workers narrowly escaped injury in the early hours of Friday at a shop in Strovolos in Nicosia when an explosion occurred on the premises, police said.
Investigations were underway at first light to determine the cause of the blast, which happened just before 5am.
According to police, two people were working in the building at the time of the explosion but escaped injury.
