A 41-year-old was arrested on Sunday after he was caught trying to steal over €100 worth of items from a store in Paphos.
Deputy police chief of operations Michalis Nicolaou said they received a report that the suspect tried to leave from the store without paying. Officers called to the scene found he had a backpack of €118 worth of goods.
He was arrested on the spot, and it since emerged that he stole €92 worth of items on Thursday. The man was arrested for the second case and is now held in custody.
