Cyprus skier Yianno Kouyoumdjian on Sunday finished in 42nd place out of 89 competitors in the mens giant slalom at the Beijing Games.
Kouyoumdjian, the only Cypriot at the Winter Olympics, achieved a time of 2 minutes 42.51 seconds. Only 46 athletes managed to finish the race. which was held in bad weather, with poor visibility.
