A 20-year-old man has been arrested to aid investigations into a case involving child pornography, police said on Wednesday.
The investigation started following a tip received by the authorities indicating the individuals alleged involvement in distributing child pornography material.
Upon evaluating the information, members of the cybercrime police unit secured evidence against the 20-year-old, resulting in an arrest warrant.
The individual was located in Paphos on Tuesday and was apprehended based on the judicial warrant, subsequently being detained to facilitate further inquiries.
Additionally, a mobile phone was found in his possession and has been confiscated for forensic examination.
