Farmers from western Nicosia closed the Kokkinotrimithia roundabout with their tractors on Sunday in protest over the unequal treatment they receive.
The farmers gathered at the Akaki packing house and drove to the roundabout before closing it for 10 minutes at noon.
They have said that the government has done nothing to remove the discrimination and unequal treatment they claim they face.
The farmers say they face discrimination because the cost of watering their crops is five times higher than in other areas, which makes it difficult for their produce to compete.
They apologised to the public for the disturbance.
