An 18-year-old was remanded in custody for three days on Saturday after attempting to leave Cyprus from Paphos airport with a forged identity card.
The incident occurred at around 4:40pm on Friday when police found the document the man was attempting to use contained a photograph of a different person to its user.
They later discovered the document itself was not authentic.
