[CNA] Young Women's National Team's friendly defeat against Malta

The National Women's Football Team was defeated 2-0 by Malta in a friendly match that took place at Sotiras Municipal Stadium

According to the CTO, despite their good effort, the youngsters did not manage to avoid defeat, with the match being decided by two goals by Maya Lucia at 28` and 77`.


A few minutes before the first goal, the national team missed a penalty and it might have been a different story if they had been ahead. The penalty was taken by Christia Kouppi and saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
