Various sectors of the economy, not only the tourism sector, may be affected by the Ukrainian crisis, according to a source at the Ministry of Tourism.
In the wake of the Russian President's decision to recognize the two breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine, the West, including the US, the EU and the UK have announced that they are working on economic sanctions against Russia.
"Various sectors of the economy, not only the tourism sector, may be affected, depending on the sanctions that will be decided and the duration of these sanctions," a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told CNA when asked about the possible impact on tourism as a result of the crisis that has erupted in Ukraine.
