The yellow warning for isolated severe thunderstorms, issued yesterday by the Cyprus Meteorological Department, remains in effect until 5.00pm today, Friday.
Isolated strong thunderstorms are expected to affect the area from time to time, the warning said. The intensity of the rain, it added, is expected to range between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour, while hail is likely.
