A six-hour work stoppage from 7am to 1pm has been announced by PDAT - POVEK for Monday 7 February as a protest against the non-inclusion of the Urban Taxi sector in the one-off grant announced by the Minister of Finance.
The rally will take place in central locations in the cities and at Larnaca and Paphos airports.
In a statement, PDAT - POVEK said that despite the correspondence it has had with the relevant Ministries and despite the many arguments it has developed, it is surprised to have "heard the Minister's announcement on the 2022 one-off grant, which leaves the Urban Taxi sector outside the categories he has announced".
