Lindsay Jacobellis is back on the podium at the Winter Olympics after 16 years, but this time, she is on the highest step.
The American snowboard champion won the gold medal in the Snowboard Cross at the top event, held in Beijing, and was runner-up at the Winter Olympics in Turin.
The 36-year-old Olympian, who was present at both Vancouver (2010), Sochi (2014) and PyeongChang (2018) but failed to distinguish herself, won the first gold medal for the United States at the event in the Chinese capital.
