In the competition part of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Switzerland's Mathilde Gremo won the gold medal in slopestyle freestyle skiing. The silver medal was won by China's Eileen Gu and the bronze medal by Estonia's Kelly Shildaru.
Corinne Shooter was also crowned Olympic champion for the first time in her career as she won the gold medal in downhill.
