Cyprus, as an active member of the International Maritime Organization, will work towards ensuring that shipping makes a significant contribution to protecting the oceans and reducing the adverse effects of climate change and to this end will continue to focus on bridging initiatives through the promotion of regional cooperation, President Nicos Anastasiades said.
