We have a long way to go to change the attitudes that stand in the way of full equality and this requires time, perseverance and continuous effort, said Justice Minister Stefi Drakou, accepting on Thursday the title of prominent member awarded to her by the Pancyprian Equal Rights Equal Responsibilities Movement at an event on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Drakou said that through the Ministry's Equality Unit and the National Mechanism for Women's Rights there are special Sponsorship Schemes aimed at encouraging community groups, such as the Pancyprian Equal Rights Equal Responsibilities Movement, to carry out actions and campaigns for equality.
