"We have a long way to go in terms of success or equality between men and women at all levels", said the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, at the presentation of the Annual Report of the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality for 2020.
The presentation of the report, which includes the Office's activities, actions and programmes aimed at eliminating discrimination and inequalities and promoting equality, took place during the President's meeting with the Commissioner, Josephine Antoniou, at the Presidential Palace.
According to a statement by the Presidency, noting that we still have a long way to go to achieve equality, Nicos Anastasiades expressed the belief that "day by day or year by year, perceptions are beginning to be differentiated and the role of women is certainly being recognised".
