The Informal Meeting of Ministers of Competitiveness for Internal Market and Industry discussed ways to achieve strategic autonomy for the EU, in which the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry Marios Panagidis participated on behalf of Cyprus.
The Informal Summit was held in Lens, on 31 January and 1 February 2022, in the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The session addressed the issue of the European Union's strategic dependencies on third countries, with Ministers discussing the importance and ways of achieving strategic autonomy for the EU.
