Anorthosis took a serious lead in the Cup quarter-finals, winning 3-1 against Paphos at "Stelios Kyriakides" in their first match for the round of 16.
Pafia opened the scoring with an own goal by Antoniades in the 42nd minute, while they were reduced to ten men due to Rudko's sending off five minutes later. Anorthosis equalised through Popovic at 51. The Lady took the lead in the 70th minute through Abardjounian and made the final 3-1 in the 80th minute with a goal by Hristodoulopoulos.
At the end of the match Paphos were left with nine players due to the suspension of Palacios.
The second leg will be played on February 3.
