A vehicle was completely destroyed by a vehicle fire in Paphos district.
According to the Press Spokesman and Head of Pafos TAO Michael Nicolaou, yesterday a fire broke out in a vehicle parked in the yard of a person living in a deserted area of the village of Armos.
The fire, Mr Nicolaou said, completely destroyed the car in question and damaged the walls of the garage where it was parked. Members of the Paphos CID and the Fire Brigade went to the scene and collected various pieces of evidence in order to investigate the case.
Further investigations revealed that the vehicle belongs to a friendly person of the owner of the house who left Cyprus five years ago and left the vehicle in the garage of the house for protection purposes. All this time, Mr Nicolaou said, the vehicle was allegedly immobilised.
