[CNA] US does not challenge DR's sovereign rights and EEZ delimitation agreements, former Foreign Minister says

Former Foreign Minister Nicos Christodoulides expressed his assessment that the US does not question the sovereign rights of the Republic of Cyprus and the agreements concluded by Nicosia with neighbouring states on the definition of maritime borders, noting that the Americans have not questioned the route of the East Med pipeline.

He also said that the reasons for their approach to the non paper are mainly related to environmental reasons and issues of economic sustainability.
