UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres recommends in his report the renewal of UNFICYP's mandate for another six months until 31 July 2022.
In his report on the peacekeeping force, Guterres notes that the past six months have seen a further deepening of mistrust between the sides and the two communities, encourages the leaders and their representatives to maintain dialogue with each other, expresses concern about the lack of communication between the two communities and calls on the leaders to encourage more direct contact and cooperation between them.
