[CNA] Unemployment fell to a record low in 2021 in Spain, to 5.2% in Germany in December

The number of registered unemployed in Spain fell to a record low in 2021, as the easing of restrictive measures for COVID-19 boosted the key tourism sector, while Germany's unemployment rate fell slightly to 5.2% in December.

Specifically, according to official statistics released on Tuesday, the number of people registered as unemployed in Spain fell by 782,232 in 2021 compared with 2020 to 3.1 million at the end of December, the Spanish Ministry of Labour said.
