Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in a Twitter post refers to the confirmation that Cyprus will not block a possible EU decision to exclude Russia from the international payment system SWIFT.
"We did it. Cyprus has confirmed that it will not block the decision to block Russia from SWIFT. Ukrainian diplomacy continues to work 24/7 to achieve important decisions and protect Ukraine from Russian invaders," Kuleba said in his post.
Earlier in a Twitter post, Cypriot Finance Minister Konstantinos Petrides said that Cyprus has not opposed any EU sanctions, including Russia's blocking of the SWIFT system.
